This edition of Christian Focus looks at some of the ways in which Christians are living out their faith in practical ways in local communities and the world.
There are reports on the progress of Christian Aid marchers, the work of the police, and local community involvement by the YMCA and faith-based groups.
We give an account of LDCF’s presence at the Party’s Brighton conference, including our well-attendedfringe meeting, which debated ‘what does it mean to be a Christian and a Liberal Democrat?’
The Party is holding a Manifesto consultation day on 12 January at the LSE, and LDCF has been asked to hold a joint workshop with the Ethnic Minority Lib Dems and the Humanist and Secular Lib Dems.
From January, we have a new Executive Committee, with Kate Heywood as Chair. Special thanks go to Martin Turner who has carried out this role for the last five years, and has overseen the rapid and exciting growth ofLDCF in terms of membership, moneyand professionalism. We also welcome Debbie Eneverback from maternity leave, and congratulate Zoë and Chris Franklin on the birth of baby Reuben.
