Faith issues are never far from the news headlines at present. The public expression of faith is a hotly debated issue.
I was recently struck by the words of American theologian Jim Wallis, who believes that faith is "always personal but never private". Jesus exhorted us to be salt and light, and James states that "faith without deeds is dead".
As Christians we are compelled by our faith to demonstrate God's grace and love in our world, and act as his hands and feet. This issue looks at ways in which Christians engage in the political sphere.
We also report back on the autumn conference, where we received ideas from the AGM about taking LDCF forward. You should also find a survey form enclosed, about our presence at conference, please do fill it in and return to us.
Finally, on behalf of the LDCF Exec, may I wish you a joyful and peaceful Christmas and New Year. |
