Following the Queen's Speech, LDCF Director Debbie Enever said: "After 10 years of Blair, Brown has failed to announce any radically new policies this week. What is significant is the huge consensus which now exists between the Labour and Conservative parties. They agree about tax policies, knee jerk ‘prison works’ crime policies and environmentally damaging airport expansion. "Only the Liberal Democrats offer a distinctive voice - fairer taxation, rehabilitation for offenders and a commitment to proper stewardship of the environment."
